South Sudan has been hit hard by the ongoing genocide in Sudan which has led to widespread food insecurity throughout the region. That along with aid networks like USAID being dismantled by Elon Musk’s DOGE means that support infrastructure cannot function. Anything you give, even the smallest amount, can mean the difference between another day living and starvation. Please consider giving.
Boosting this again. After talking with representatives of the group of queer refugees in South Sudan, their situation is even more dire than I thought. Several hundred people, including children, have been living in a refugee camp that was originally meant to be temporary. This temporary camp has been there for two years now. They had previously been helped by USAID - the organization that was dismantled by Elon Musk’s DOGE this past year. That cruel withdrawal of aid plus vast food insecurity caused by the nearby genocide in Sudan has left them on the brink of starvation. Any aid, any help, even one dollar, could mean the difference between death and life for another day.
