Welcome to the adventures of the Hicks family. We live in the beautiful mountains of Avery county NC. There's a lot more to Avery county and the surrounding areas than most people know. There's a lot of hidden history that we'd love show you guys. Raising two boy's is an adventure in itself. We do everything from dirt bikes, four wheelers, camping, fishing, and hunting. If its outdoors in the sticks were there! We also travel from vacations get aways to travel basketball. All while putting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost. We'll try our best to do a weekly bible devotional. There's no telling where or what we'll get into. So please join Amber (my wife) Eli, Ayden (our sons) & (me) Scott and you'll soon find out that no matter where your at, no matter what your doing. You too can get out and Kick It Country!!!

What is up y'all! We hope everyone has had a wonderful blessed weekend. The last weekend before Christmas! With our regular church service, then a candlelight service, and still have a Christmas play left to go to tonight. We will not be able to have Chewing The Fat. One year ago today our lives were changed forever. Today's we honor those that Helene took from us, we help those still struggling, and we thank the many volunteers that have got us back to where we are. Thank you for your donations, but most of all your prayers. Please keep Western North Carolina and it's people in your prayers. There are still so many people struggling and living in tents. God is still in control and He will see us through. We love y'all, God bless 🙏 🩵.

What is up y'all! It's just hours away from Kick'n It with the Hicks Summer Shindig 2025. If you're planning on meeting us at Pelicans tomorrow Friday July 11th. The time had changed. In stead of meeting at 2pm, we will be meeting at 6pm. That's the only change in the schedule. We have an exciting, action packed Saturday July 12th. So come on out and join us.
