Our story began in 1955, when Stewart Matter Sr. started his career with Simmons Mattress Company. In 1958, he opened his first furniture showroom in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana, driven by a simple goal: to build a business that allowed him to be home with his family each night.
In 1977, the Matter family brought that legacy to Florida, where Matter Brothers Furniture began helping customers bring the Florida lifestyle home.
Today, we offer thoughtfully curated furnishings — from coastal to contemporary — designed for comfort, quality, and timeless style. As a family-owned business, we remain deeply rooted in the communities we serve and committed to delivering a truly personalized shopping experience.
