The name Whisler Hardwood is from an actual lumber mill located in Los Angeles, California. My father worked there for over 30 years until the plant closed for good in the mid-1990s. I spent may summers doing everything from sweeping sawdust from the floors to stacking trim and molding as the wood would exit the big rips saws and molding machines. I recall the hum of the machines running all day and the smell of cut wood. Good times for sure.
