John D. Lewis hails from North-East England and he’s very proud of the D. in his name.
He’s been writing songs since the late 1970s. His lyrics come from the heart, sometimes about life as it is, sometimes about life as it was.
He co-writes many of his songs with his wife Dawn M. Lewis and two of their songs made the Independent Music Network's Top Ten in the USA.
He also wrote "Sir Bobby's Song" - a tribute to the Newcastle United Football Manager who died in 2009. The BBC used the song as the theme for its documentary - The Day I Met Sir Bobby Robson. ( www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b012403m .)
His new album includes songs about alcoholism and war, divorce and childhood and life in general.
