As long as there is division there will be hate and violence. Our entire world structure is based off of division. Everything has a classification that devides us all. Until the mass population stands up for itself and says NO MORE to government and interest groups this will continue in its various forms. Also the wrong doers need to be held accountable for their actions on both sides. I dont see religious background, political beliefs, or race. There's only 1 race - the human race. All lives matter. Peace and love to you all

Excellent message and well said. Everyone else take note at how this guy made his point without burning down an innocent man's business or stealing from his community

All lives matter. That should be the message spreading right now.

I get that you're trying to show support and be a good person. The problem is that posting a black square with some hashtags and platitudes requires the least amount of effort. There is a video of a black woman on Instagram calling out all the white people who posted black squares because none of them are helping in any meaningful way. The Guardian and Huffington Post have published articles saying that black squares don't help the cause. And they are right.

I'll preface that I support the peaceful black lives matter protesting and the movement itself, but I wouldn't make the claim that without African American people there would be no music. Rap maybe, because of it's evolution in Compton, but to say music as a whole wouldn't exist if a certain ethnicity didn't exist kinda stretches it. Again, I respect what your saying and have nothing but support for the black lives movement, it's just that the concept of music is more of a humane idea/art that culture's create denominations of.

I am choosing to use my voice and platform to speak up in support of all who stand up against systemic racism, bigotry and injustices derived from hate.
In support of black communities, we thank you for your contributions to art, music, science, politics, education and all other contributions you’ve shared throughout history.
Today, I share your message instead of a song as a gesture of support. Our community stands beside you and the fight for a better future for all.
Without you there is no music.
