I can't understand a single word you said cause i'm not englisher, but Link's awakening is well-made I agree.

Not gonna lie, some of your Link's Awakening arrangements are a lot better than the actual remake songs 😂

I must say I had your arrangement of Link's Awakening OST in mind before I booted the game, as a reference if you will. :) Personally, I didn't dislike the remade soundtrack. It sure sounds less "grand" than yours but it's coherent with the art style they chose too: small and simple like a miniature model, which fits the original GB style too. But the original Link's Awakening had a certain sense of melancholy, of onirism throughout which felt bigger than the GB sometimes. I think that's something you kept in mind when you composed your arrangements, something which Nintendo obviously didn't go after in this remake. However – it's a very nice take on the original they did, perhaps different enough from your version that you may be able to enjoy the game! You should give it a try. ^^ As for me, I did listen once more to your arranged OST recently, still enjoying it 100%. And I have yet to look for and listen to the official remade soundtrack... Maybe this says something about which one impressed me more? 😁

You should absolutely play LA. It's great and a lot of fun.

I totally agree with you! I also think the music from the LA remake is awful and I wish they used ALBW engine and orchestrated soundtrack. FFVII remake is fantastic and one of the best remakes ever made!

Youtube Recommended has failed me; but better late than never. I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this (I had wondered what your opinion of LAr would be). Unfortunately I've had a hard time enjoying the FFVIr OST because of the story. Perhaps I'll be able to come back to it later with a more compartmentalized approach.

I still have tracks from your LA arrangements in my playlists and listen to them regularly! I was also disappointed by the remade music.. Maybe some people enjoy it and that's great but it was too childish for me. 😣 Nintendo should definitely have hired you.. Edit: screw Nintendo, Disney should hire you for their next POTC movie, give Hans Zimmer a break!

The Second Narrator Music
Link's Awakening and FFVII's remakes both came out recently, games I really like the music for. I preordered LA, but have not booted it up at all. Having heard samples of the redone music beforehand, I feel like I would be too disappointed and distracted by the arrangements to enjoy the game.
FFVII Remake on the other hand is glorious. I did not want it to end. Bar certain story choices, it was pure magic seeing the characters come to life with so much color and expression. The music is insane. I think there are like 10 different variations of the main battle music. It's a bit unfortunate that the soundtrack mostly sits in the background, with not much opportunity to swell into the spotlight, but I guess that's a casualty of modern game design.
Masashi Hamauzu's original music that he added sounds too similar to his work in FFXIII. All that choral and bells instruments that pop up when you see those whispers almost made me wonder if FFVII was going to be merged into the XIII universe.
