Muscle up is a skill that requires a lot of explosiveness. There is no magic number of pull up repetitions that will suddenly allow you do perform this movement. The key is the right choice of exercises and workout method.

If you can do 15+ pull ups and even weighted pull ups it does not necessarily mean you will be able to do Muscle up. Why is that? Simply because your nervous and muscle system adapts to the movements you perform. If you’re used to control your pull ups and perform them slowly while not implementing explosive pull ups in your routine you’ll be missing height that is necessarily to transfer over the bar.
