The very beginnings of a Medieval style spring pole lathe, an ancient type of wood-turning lathe. These parts are the pine lathe bed fitted with beech poppets and wedge. I hope to be able to re-create the manufacture of wooden archery blunts, walnut sized blunt arrow heads once used for practise at the butts and illustrated in the 14th Century illuminated manuscript the Luttrell Psalter.
