Not a whole lot of love from the people responsible for the purse strings. The air of superiority and the condescension from the mayor and city council is also a huge red flag. They’ve shown they view law enforcement as something that isn’t necessary; not even a “necessary evil” which is a line they could use to justify the presence of cops in the city if they were trying to pander to their whacked out constituency. That seems odd when law enforcement is probably one of the only legitimate functions of government if you stop to ponder. Seattle will continue to swirl the drain until the progressive politicians and Marxists get voted out. Regarding increasing police numbers: right now you have to be out of your ever-living mind or so supremely naive to take a job there. Expect no love, continuous second-guessing, and being excoriated in the media for doing a job no one else wants. What a shame. This is the law of unintended (or intended by some politicians) consequences.

Seattle's fucked. Wait, I mean it's been fucked!! The city needs to clear house of all the city council, court, and mayor to make any good of the situation ever turning around..

Do you think continued staffing shortages for SPD will impact the community moving forward? Or is this just a momentary problem?
