I’m pretty sure that it was a new policy in February or something, but iirc, YouTube allowed itself to put ads on videos even if they aren’t monetized

YouTube will monetize your videos and collect money from them, even if you’re not in the partner program. This means that they get to keep all the money, without splitting it between them and you. As far as not meeting the requirements, you already have over 1k subscribers. Keep pushing for that 240k minute watchtime.

It’s something new on YouTube, they now have the nerve to put ads on non-monetized videos. Why is it bad? It just annoys the people who watch your videos for no reason because you don’t actually get any money from these ads and can’t control them.

A few months ago YouTube made a new policy where they can put advertisements in non-monetized video so that they can gain profit
