“I'm happy that I have brought laughter because I have been shown by many the value of it in so many lives, in so many ways.” - Lucille Ball

Happy heavenly 110th birthday, Lucille Ball! Born 110 years ago on this day (August 6) in 1911, in Jamestown, New York, Lucy grew up to be one of the most iconic women of all time. I truly admire everything about Lucy. I love her spark, her humbleness, her comedy, her brilliance, her leadership skills, her beauty...The list could go on and on. While I know she was a flawed human being (we all are), I admire her strength and passion to overcome everything.

I have been watching “I Love Lucy” since I was two years old, but it wasn’t until I was 16 years old when I began to learn more about Lucille Ball. I’ve always loved Lucy Ricardo, bless her heart, but when I was 16, I began to consider Lucille Ball as a different person—because she was different than Lucy Ricardo.

Lucille Ball continually inspires me to dream big. She motivates me and she always brightens my day, no matter what. I never stop learning something new about her, and I love that. She’s an incredibly fascinating woman to study.

So, today, I’m celebrating her. Let’s celebrate Lucy together. I have a special tribute video coming today and I hope you’ll enjoy it. This year’s birthday is extra special, so let’s love Lucy together! 💕
