I was brought back to this after a roundabout video spree of clicking link after link when I suddenly saw a video that mentioned best friends. And I suddenly remembered this channel. I had actually forgotten about it but I realized that no one else will ever learn about this channel and all the great times. Everyone that watched it has moved on and any of their content will never be recommended again. I guess that second death is coming faster than I realized. If anyone ever sees this comment just ask yourself what it took to find it. Miss you guys

You guys have been the only channel that I actually watched for the last 8 years, all starting when I found the Donkey Kong Country Returns video. You have been there through many rough times in life, always good for a laugh. I still, up until yesterday, would watch your videos as I fell asleep. I've listened to most of the podcasts 4 times over at this point, and was excited to see a new one pop up every Tuesday. I couldn't believe it when Liam left, it felt like such a huge loss, I always loved Liam/Pat videos, such an amazing paring of opposites. When I saw the final video I was in complete disbelief. I watched it a couple of times to see if there was some joke in there somewhere, something that would let me believe it wasn't true... Only to check upon waking up to verify that it was, in fact, a reality that such a constant in my life was gone. I wish you all the best in your endeavors, I hope that you guys can rekindle a friendship once the burden of business is removed. I hope that Matt and Pat can finish this timeline with something more than they started with. The original title was a joke, Two Best Friends, but I really wish that it will somehow, eventually, finish as a reality.

When I first watched you guys, I was the eternal darkness LP. And for a bit I saw you as my own friend group. Helped me feel less alone, and when the channel ended, I was with someone who became my soul mate. Now, years later, I have my own friend group, love, and projects. And we are goofy and fun. So, thanks, guys. For everything. For getting me into Jojo to giving tips on game design. Bye.

2024, I'm still here. I started watching in school for graphic design. They got me through so much heartache of being away and being a broke college student unable to afford all the games to play. I had a blast watching all of the shitstorms and brawls. The LPs made my days go by so much easier. I miss you, Matt, Pat, Woolie, and Liam. You guys were like extended family that doesn't suck and can make you laugh so easily. The breakup actually hurt. Normally, I don't understand when people cry over celebs. You guys were the first that I ever did for. It left a void so eager to be filled. But i wish each of you the best.

These banners encapsulate them perfectly. Matt has some heavy 80's-ass aesthetic. Pat has a toony recreation of his sound lifestyle choices. And Woolie's is STYLE, FLAIR, HOTNESS!!!

Awesome. I'm already subbed to your separate channels, but in glad other people are being made aware of them now. Keep up the great work guys, and thanks for being one of the best parts of my day. 👍

I still come here to reminisce of the old days. I know that Matt and Pat no longer see themselves, and while it makes me sad, I appreciate the honesty of which they told us. I hope maybe one day they could at least talk, and maybe return to being in more amiable terms, not make content, but... Just that they return to being friends. Warm hugs to y'all, stay safe.

Shit, man… Reading these comments while listening to the Smash Bros. Brawl menu theme just made all my memories and feelings come back. I know shit can't last forever, but what hurts so deeply is the fact that the Zaibatsu didn't just die, it was MURDERED. No, but really. They ended because Matt and Pat stopped being friends, not because they all decided it was time to end it after nearly a decade. They didn't end after a cavalcade of playing through their most requested and hyped up games, one final big LP to end it all. They ended in the middle of a Kingdom Hearts LP. They ended having just finished playing DMC: Devil May Cry in preparation for the release of Devil May Cry 5. They ended before Sekiro came out, they ended before they got around to making that follow-up to Monster Hunter: World where they were gonna show off Woolie's progression. They ended before doing a second take on Death's Gambit, perhaps even a full playthrough. They ended before they even got the chance to play REmake 2. Before MK11. And they ended no longer as friends. THAT's why it hurts so much. And that's why I'm starting to feel the pain and sadness again, after all these months. R.I.P., Best Friends Zaibatsu… Gone but never forgotten. And I guess I *won't* see ya later, fuckers.

I don't believe any of the guys still read or acess this channel, but I'm depositing my feelings regardless. I come almost daily back to reminisce of the good times, I watch SBF since the release of the kirby epic yarn video, it's about what, 12 years now? As much as I sound like a person with not a lot going in its life, the breakup was an event that shook me deep, as this was, and it's still is my absolute favorite channel, it helped me through some awfull shit in life, and even though I watched everything multiple times, it's still does, be it the originals or compilations, it's a memory that will never ever fade. Godspeed to every single one of you

"He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God." Miss you guys, still love the videos <3

Godspeed, you glorious bastards. Thus the end of an era commences, and now, the Zaibatsu is gone, but not forgotten, for it shall live on in our memories and hearts. These four stars now shine brightly on their own, and maybe one day.....they will come together again.
