God bless and keep you and Connie and Buck, have a great new years, be safe, and look forward to seeing you soon. I think for new years momma wants me to do an elk roast with red taters and chantrells in the Dutch oven out side, or the bacon wrapped turkey smoked over green black berry vines. Either way.

Life throws us curves balls now and then, keep up the good work! Our blower went out in part of our old hot water baseboard system three days ago, looks like it will be another three days to get the part in.... Look forward to seeing your cold-weather tent and anything to battle the cold weather š

I like this vid a lot , I have learned something from this vid . In this past I have done a lot of camping and started many camp fires . One time I impressed even myself. , by starting a campfire with my reading glasses on a hot symmer day ! However I have never used a ferro rod , in fact I never heard of a ferro rod untill this yr , much less tried to start a fire with one . The thing that impressed me most about this vid was using tree sap as a fuel source . Thanks for the information . Mike.

I always check to see if you posted a new video. It is different watching you videos than most others in the way not only is you directions different than most. I find it refreshing that not only do you explain the contents of your post but also you articulat the concept of said tasks. I've been watch your videos for years however I'm not one who injects text messages. I too am getting up in age..I like to say LEVEL 65 instead of 65 years old. I spent 21years in US ARMY Special Operations. I've spent most of my service in the Reconnaissance 75th Ranger division. In which detailed me in most every jungle of conflict. To this day..over two decades have past. I still feel most alive in that environment. I watch you in your environmental element and what I see: (please don't misconstrue my complement) I see: FLUIDITY!! Something you must have not just to survive but for sustainability. I also observed the interactions between Connie and yourself. No doubt your a lucky Man and complement each other. I've truly written a much longer post than expected, so I'll stop tapp'n these buttons and wish you both.. prosperity and good travels.

Far North Bushcraft And Survival
I have been working on a project that I was going to do several videos on and discovered that I did not have everything I needed to complete the project. That fact along with life and obligations also getting in the way, I'm sorry to report that I will not be able to post a video this week. Depending again on how life goes, I may not be able to do these particular videos that I had planned for maybe up to 5 weeks from now. It all depends on when we can make our next trip to town and whether we go from town directly out to our remote cabin or whether we come back home here for a while before going out to our cabin. I also have some obligations next week as well but will try my best to still get a video of some sort uploaded to the channel. The project that I am working on is I'm making a tent that I think will be the ultimate bushcraft cold weather tent that basically anybody can make. I think and hope that you are going to love it as I know I sure am going to. I have been wanting one of these style of tents for years now and don't know why I had not thought of making one years ago. I will be making modifications to this one that should make it an ideal tent for cold weather use without a stove. In other words this should be a great common man's tent that will open up winter camping to many who may not have thought that they could camp in the winter. That's all I'm going to say about it at this time. Be watching for the videos to be uploaded some time in the not so distant future to learn more. Thanks for all the great support to the channel my friends and everybody have a great start to the new year.
