I watch news from around the world. You get a lot of naïve ideas from one or two vocal people that Taiwan (or India or South Korea or any of a number of other nations) are alone in the world, but I would like to see more celebration of the interconnection of the world. I like to see how the nation of Taiwan connects to the nations of the Five Eyes alliance and the Quad. (Together that would be US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand / Japan, India, US, and UK). Also the EU.

Over on WION (news from India) there was a story about the US bullying Taiwan over preferential sales and prices for semiconductor chips. Is this real and what is the opinion from Taiwan?
