Personal opinion is that the bedrock portal looks like a nest where the egg lies.

Theory :- maybe there used to be more than 1 ender dragon , but nearly got extinct (for unknown reasons) , so in honor of those dragons which died , there are heads on the tower

Theory: I think the end ships were the ships of hunters Hear me out! The hunters use these ships to hunt and kill the Ender dragons. It's sounds insane but , this is what we do in the real world For example , the tiger We hunted and killed them so much that they are now almost extinct What if it's the same story for the Ender dragons?

Theory : Enderdragons were summoned by ancient builders to travels in the End but they begin too powerful. The Ancients Builders kill them and use end boats instead ( boat were probably flying by using dragon's head ). When the endermen attacked the builders, they close the End by summoning another dragon.

When you give a dragon head a Redstone signal, its mouth opens and closes. Idk if this could mean anything Also someone suggested that maybe they didn't want to kill the dragon so they protected them with crystals. Maybe the dragon heads are sort of braindead, so when you give it a Redstone signal it could kind of move.

I think a few escaped endermen from the main island thought the dragon as a god so they made these big temples. Elytra must act as the wings of endermites which were the butterfly of the end. The ender dragon stole their wings to make her wings. The endermite who survived this took off their wings and became bugs (That's why endermen hate them) and made a monument with chorus fruit and crying obsidian particles. They used all of it except some, which was used for the end ship. This also explains why we can't make a nether portal in the end. They put their wings in the end ships along with other loot and disappeared into the void never to spawn again naturally. The endermites got some of the teleportation juice and could now spawn from enderpearls. The males married the Female thus having many eggs. The endermite, who became pests and ate all of the eggs and damaged one of them (that's why it doesn't hatch) when the dragons weren't looking and they were about to eat the last one but the dragon saw them. She was so angry that she killed all the males and the males who were loyal to her didn't die but became the end crystals.

Theory: the ancient builders used to kill the dragon and respawn it with the end crystals to experiment stuff within the end dimension and try to harness the powers of the dragon. Maybe that might be how enderman came to be. They are mutated people from the powers.

I think that people hunted the dragons to extinction, but somebody or something, or maybe even the dragon itself left and was protected by the end crystals

Theory: Dragons of all shapes and sizes used to roam the over world, but they were hunted for different reasons. They were hunted until only 1 dragon that guarded the end remained. This dragon was able to save an egg, the dragon egg. Theory 2: A meteor hit the planet (thus changing climate) and the ancient creatures (mob ancestors+dragons) were killed. The only dragon that survived was the one that guards the end, it’s nest/the portal and the egg. There might have also been dragons in the nether (nether fossils) but probably not.

My theory is based on your theory The dragon head can be found every end city because of 2 reasons 1. The ancient players wanted that enderman should not escape the end so they made dragon but some dragon were attacking the ancient players so they killed it and made new ones. 2. Ancient players wanted something to fly so they thought About dragon wings and they made few dragons and killed it So they got the wings and head And they kept both of in in same place Dragon wings - elytra Head Are both found in end ship together always

a weird thing about those heads: the dragon's neck (from the back) doesn't fit the way you wear it (from the bottom), but all sides are solid without any holes, probably some magical force or idk also the thing is the dragon is separated from the rest of the end, but also protected with crystals just as if somebody actually didn't want to kill it

Theory: Maybe an ancient civilization worshiped the dragon and carved its head on their cities?
4 years ago | 2
My theory is that the 1st one that spawned died of old age eventually and then endermen used the head on the end ship to travel between the end city and the main island (i consider endermen a intelligent species) for the time when the dragon was dead, which respawned from the egg it left behind

My theory is that this dragon hasn't been here forever, instead this is what happens: 1-Dragon is here 2-Dragon lays the egg 3-Dragon dies of old age 4-Endermen take dragon head 5-Egg hatches 6-Repeat

As archeology isn't released yet I don't think you make any conclusions based on it, because the dragon may be removed. But I think the dragon is a creature from the void. Similar to what I think the heart of ender (MC Dungeons) is.

Maybe, the ancient builders came to the end to escape their creation the wither. They couldn’t kill the Ender dragon, and so tried to escape by going far away. They eventually started to run out of food, and so some became pirates. They built ships with fake dragon heads to scare others to give them their food. They are just fake heads used to scare others.

I think A also you should do a video about sea temples and guardians and stuff

I have a theory on Elytra: Why can Elytra only be found on End Ships? Elytra can only be found on end ships, meaning they cannot be crafted or found anywhere else in Minecraft. Some beetles also have elytra in real life to protect their wings from damage. Here's what I think: Long ago, when endermen could build with more materials, they made the end exit portal and the end gateways portals out of materials that had unique properties. They might've gotten a way to craft a durable material that would either turn to bedrock, or is made of a block that only the player sees as bedrock. With some heat coming form the End, the portal was lit, but it was a one way portal like when we go fight the dragon. A few groups of brave scout endermen went into the portal, and they became trapped and stranded in the overworld, facing many new threats that could kill them quickly, one famous one being the abundance of water. They built the strongholds underground to protect themselves form the dangers above while they looked for ways to get back to the end. However, walking was not the fastest and efficient solution as the abundance of water made it difficult to walk in a straight line, while in the nether when they made the portals to go there, they found the same problems with the lava oceans dominating the nether. They needed to find a way to move quicker while avoiding the obstacles that blocked their path, and it seemed like they weren't gonna find it. However, while exploring the forests of the overworld, they found something that would change the way endermen travel in the world. I like to believe that there used to be a giant beetle that roamed ancient Minecraft worlds that could fly with their wings and glide with the exact Elytra you found on end ships. Since those beetles also dropped Elytra when they died, some of the endermen got curious. Through rigorous testing, they found that they could not only glide far distances with them, but combined with fireworks, they could fly far distances given it still had durability. This would make sense as you can craft fireworks that have flight duration form 1-3 without damaging you in your crafting inventory. Now, they could fly far distances without any distractions to easily get what they needed, and by doing it this way, they could easily get an early form of blaze powder, craft them with ender pearls into eyes of ender, and then construct and activate the end portal to the End. They got back to the end, and it was thanks to the Elytra. As a result of the journey, they became valuable to endermen, and with the power they had in them, the endermen wanted more of it. Now some of you may be thinking that no mob drops Elytra and that there is no beetle in Minecraft, at least not yet. However, I want to theorize that since the Elytra was valuable and sought after by the endermen, they started hunting these giant beetles on large scale to get as much elytra as they could. They did not consider the effect that it would have on the wildlife in the overworld, or the consequences it would bring to the beetles and to them, the endermen wanted Elytra, and they wanted it bad, hunting those large beetles that could fly and glide with their wings and Elytra, to extinction, explaining why they cannot be found in the Minecraft world anymore. With their extinction, the Elytra became even more valuable since it wasn't renewable anymore, and with this realization, the endermen stopped using their Elytra since it was so valuable and had finite durability. Since it was the most valuable thing to these endermen, they decided to put it in the most secure place possible. That place, being their End Ships. The ships were a surefire way to make sure that the Elytra they hunted for could not get lost to the void or any other threat that would arise, especially the ender dragon. The Elytra stay in their item frames for the rest of eternity in the end ships in the end, waiting for an explorer to finally pick them off and use them for what they were once used for, to fly across many places and glide into the sunset. So to recap, the Elytra can only be found on end ships because long ago, endermen going into the overworld needed an efficient way to travel while finding a way back home. On their journey, they found large beetles that sported large Elytra that became useful for getting back home easily and safely. Because it became treasured, the endermen hunted those beetles in large scale to zero, where they were then stored in end ships where they could not be lost to any danger it crossed. There maybe a hole or two in my theory like the heat to light the end exit portals, so the endermen to Elytra size ratio. This could also be interpreted with the ancient builders in the same way, in a situation that involves travel through things that are hard to get through. Of course, this is a theory, so it probably shouldn't be taken as 100% the truth, I'd like to hear your guys theory on this! And that, is my Elytra theory, and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Dragonic
There are many dragon heads found throughout the end, this could mean:
A: Dragons use to roam the world and now there is only one.
or B: The ender dragon has been repeatedly killed and decapitated for some reason.
Also, the upcoming "blue ceramic shards" have a picture of a dragon on them, which reveals something really big. These shards are found in the overworld too.
I'm working on a theory for the ender dragon and dragon egg and all input is appreciated! Comment your theories!
