Today Nintendo has blocked all 137 Fire Emblem: Three Houses soundtrack videos on my channel.
This means that unfortunately the soundtrack will not be on YouTube in the form of videos. We can only hope this is not becoming the norm each game release, as it would make for a very grim future for Nintendo music fans.
This is to my knowledge the first Nintendo game soundtrack *ever* that will not be on YouTube at all.
At this time it might still be up on other channels, but it is likely only a matter of time until they get blocked, too.
I already tried emailing Nintendo on Friday but as one would expect I have not gotten a response yet. Nintendo of America replying to issues like this rarely ever happens, and with these blocks coming from Nintendo in Japan I'd say chances are near zero, unfortunately.
I don't know why they blocked them. A possibility is that they want to sell the soundtrack. Intelligent Systems has been selling FE soundtracks (via Tablier Communications or Pony Canyon) in the past. Chances are that, even though they blocked the videos worldwide, the soundtrack will only be sold in Japan.
Personally I am very sad about this. Fire Emblem: Three Houses has a great soundtrack, and I spent a long time and possibly more effort than I ever did before on these videos. (If you've seen them you may know what I mean. I really tried to go all out.) I really wanted all of you to enjoy it.
