For more dynamic play, though it wouldn't do well for any non-standard decks. I love the gameplay from arena, it's more interesting, exciting, and I think it's the best way to make your decks look better. Most YouTube channels covering cards have already made the switch, though js that might actually be an argument for the other side

Yeah, I sold my MTGO collection 2 weeks after I started Arena. Never looking back 😍

I play a lot of Arena and am very happy with it. I do want to echo that because of the "play for your cards" aspect of the game, many players in the early days of the open beta are playing suboptimal versions of their ideal decks. However, with the ranking/ladder system being more functional this update, I expect that the people at the top of the ladder have played much higher level magic to get there than the bronze players duking it out with their juiced up draft decks, so don't be deterred when someone says the skill level is low. Really the platform as a whole is getting stronger every day as players unlock more cards to be on par with MTGO decks

I like both platforms, and perhaps when showing off super competitive decks mtgo should be the go to FOR NOW, as the recent wipe of data from mtga has people grinding with sub-optimal decks to get their cards back/for the first time. I think down the road mtga will be the preferable option, but for now I think it's best used to show off tier 2 and 3 decks.

I love to read the comments and see people complain and say you should stay in MTGO because Arena lacks other formats when the poll clearly states for STANDARD videos.

Arena is much better for standard. The effects make game play more enjoyable, and the game play is much less clunky than MTGO. I'll be sticking to MTGO for modern testing, but Arena's definitely the go-to for standard now.

For everything standard related Arena is a better option since its faster and more readable

Mtgo has a certian shine that you start to see after a while. Arena makes me feel like I am watching someone play hearthstone

I can fully understand board states and cards in hand on MTGO in a moment's glance. I can't do that on MTGA.

I believe that Arena is better viewing-wise, but with the recent wipe and a large number of newcomers, the level of competition is a lot lower. Maybe wait 'till the playerbase is more competitive, and have a solid event for competitive players. But I'm super down for the switch

MTGO is kinda hard to observe. If there’s a platform that does largely the same thing while being easier to observe, then it makes sense to switch to it.

The reason I chose this is pretty simple. 1. I don’t care for flashiness I care for actual gameplay, and 2. The card variety will always be superior to arena, with literally every other format available to where as arena only has a select few like sealed without foils, draft, standard, brawl and momir. Although I do have some complaints recently with mtgo, the game has been steadily going downhill and I’ve had some game crashes ever since arena came out. I’m guessing that since all of the attention is going away from mtgo and to arena, WotC is failing to keep up maintaining the game even though it’s one of the bigger moneymakers of the company.

The meta game found on mtgo and arena is very different. It’s much harder to switch decks on arena, so an arena stream would not feature as many tier decks. Overall, players on arena are also worse, so there is less value to be gained by watching that gameplay if the goal is to showcase competitive decks. If the goal is to showcase cool & fun brews then arena would be an appropriate place to record content.

I dont care for razzle dazzle with animations and such. I like hearthstone. I dont feel like magic needed a hearthstone make over.

Now that Magic Arena is in open beta, would you rather see standard videos on there, or still on MTGO?
