@whynot9899

It won't solve that problem but it will make living in rural areas easier.

@slevinkolebra

@anchiit

I mean Jio did nothing for real estate in India. Maybe if WFH rules are relaxed, IT jobs will not be concentrated rest i don't see any impact.

Real state market is rising because of renting buisness (in big cities) such a growth is unsustainable and was loosing momentum but some people didnt want that so they choked the supply of buildings by stoping others from building and hiking price ,that's why price rise is mostly localised to city centers(here it is because of inflation) and places with big and cartelized renting industry. Actually real state prices (exept these places) is falling steeply . Only effect it could have on real state price is by making people aware of cartel and inflation so they can call back their sons and daughters from cities .

It will be handy in data “ NOT SPOTS” - where there’s no decent cellular data and no broadband due to line distance. It won’t be popular in towns where broadband and cellular data are cheap.

@Adenzel

Maybe maybe not, but real-estate prices might do what they're going to do regardless of internet connectivity.

Rural communities boats and air plane's will benefit immensely. Anywhere its to hard to run a wire. It's the cost we're starlink $600+ will have a hard time. if they(telus) can run a wire to you its a free hook up and modem.

@mahnamahna3252

I wonder how much more lobbying is going on to push for "traditional " internet connection in rural areas

@medievalogic

We need to remind ourselves that not all jobs are wfh-able.

@night2501

probably will have a minor effect, specially with more people working remotely but the city still a hub for many business and services

@suryakant7843

It will be affordable for post reteirment farmhouse owners All the jobs will stay in the cities and so will the working class

@jonathonhilton4455

I don't think it will strongly impact urban housing, but as more jobs move mostly online during the pandemic and likely afterwards, people with said jobs will likely feel less obligated to be in a city to stay in tough with the world

@mdahsanraza

WFH will be the most important factor in housing market!

@magnus4346

There might be an effect on the housing market, but not one significant enough to tip the scales.

@ninjaslash52_98

Rural housing will be more appealing if you can still have good Internet not much but just a bit more I don’t think city prices will change though they’re stubborn

@LarryBlowers

I think city properties will keep climbing at the same rate but the more rural settings will see a bit of a rise once high speed service is fully available and running

@Jonnyrockin71

Starlink will impact local broadband providers. Not realestate values.

@J4999

I hope not. Urban sprawl and rural, spread out development are generally not good for the environment.

Big cities will likely not change much, though there may be some additional members of the populations there leaving for more rural areas. If rural areas can have the same internet infrastructure as as big cities, this will make them more viable for businesses to utilize as long as their labor demand is met. Even then, much of the labor demand these days is decentralized so that opens up opportunity even more.

No, some that have moved out of cities are having regrets because of other inconveniences.
