Michael all the way! All our social programs including National Housing Trust, JAMAL, minimum wage, education, health care and a host of others was done by him. Plus he raised young people's consiousness about political involvement and worker participation. This helped us to represent our departments in our companies on committes and boards. This gave us a strong sense of responsibility and ownership. We had great pride in our country. When those that chose to leave out of fear went, it gave us an opportunity to own our first home. It was a wonderful time for those of us who stayed behind. He also encouraged us to "tun you hand and mek fashion". Told us to do away with foreign food(cornflakes, grapes and American apple) and eat what we grow. Even buying new toys for children, he said most of the time we buy them for ourselves. He encouraged creativity for children to make their own stuff. We too as adults!! If only we had listened Jamaica would have a fighting chance. He was a good man who loved this country and its people. His vision for our future was way ahead of his time. You could feel the love. These nowadays politicians cannot even wash his feet. This world is so unfair because good people never seem do as much as they wanted to do. America saw to destruction of our country just to get him out. We never seemed to have recovered from those blows. They still have their foot on our neck! Much love to you Mr. Manley. You made a difference in my life and I am sure in the lives of thousands of people. You did not die rich, which says a lot about your integrity. We cannot say the same of those politicians alive who occupy seats that they have no idea of the level of commitment and love of country it requires to do an effective job. They sit back and watch this country run down, dirty, youths uneducated, no community roads, small business opportunities gone, emptying of public coffers by leaders and their cronies and I could go on and on..but why ?? How can you instill love of country into hustlers?? Prayers can't help Jamaica. Maybe a disaster will... to reset the clock!! Unfortunately good people come last. Look what we are left with...

Honorable Michael Manley as left behind a legacy that no other will be ever to replicate it. It's the passion sacrifice, interaction and hardwork for the poor and most vulnerable. He was a man with a heart of Gold for his people. He should be inducted as a Hero for the people of Jamaica, Cuba, South Korea and Venezuela. Second to none.
