You can use easeUs data recovery software and recover your files, you just have to set location where it was before. I accidently formated my whole external HDD on which I had all my data stored from 6 years back. Using that method I recovered all 700gb that I had.

Download Recuva and deep search your harddrive. it might recover them. dont write anything else to that disk tho, you will risk overwriting them. also try looking in Temp or Cache folders if there is a backup stored there from when you were working on the files.

I've seen a lot of Seagate drives fail. In fact, most of the failed drives I've seen have been Seagate. I know some people have a great experiences with them, but I'm gonna steer clear.

Hello everyone! I had a video completely done that was ready to go up, then when I come back to my computer I see that the upload was stopped at 90%. I thought that was weird so I went into my hard drive to upload the file again only to find out that my Seagate hard drive no longer has that folder and all work that I had done, and all the raw files are now gone.
I am going to try and figure out what the hell just happened and see if there’s any possible way I get 30+ hours of my time back.
