Maybe if they bothered to explain the reasoning of it being safe to eat without a roof or walls if the weather is nice but not inside when it rains people would be more understanding of the logic. If the tables are the same size and the staff sanitized them the same what is the difference? How can they keep wait staff either oh we had a shift scheduled for you but now it's cold out so business will be slow don't come in?

Reason is that many are abusing the social distancing rules that are here to keep all safe. No fines are given to people as my nieghbours construction projects or on partying with more then 6 people who are not wearing a mask

Why don't the people who agree with it just stay home or get take out instead, and leave the people who want to go free to go if they choose? Might work better than one half trying to control the other

I don't profess to know why they make their decisions, but I believe her intent is good. I think a lot of it has to do with the mathematical modeling and keeping things under control; because there's two things we need to protect: our health and our economy.

Countries like korea and china in cities with 3-8times population density than places in canada have managed covid cases using tech and quick implementation of objectively foinded solutions conjourned by the governments and institutions working together with minimal or no affect on businesses and peoples livelihoods. Our government and the institutions that make decisions in canada have failed on a tragic level due to inadequate action and incompetent optimism. Not implmenting on innovation and tech based solutions and instead just limiting our economy and therefore peoples livelihoods and then trying to banddaid the situation with stimulation packages and stretching our national debt will cost us canadian citizens another few generations of hardship. Failed businesses, torn families, organized crime and a large amount of people being sunk into poverty is the true tragic aftermaths of our governemnts failure that we will endure for the next 30 years.
