1-3 & 7-9 are bad movies but the prequels have Obi wan so that makes it automatically better

Imo the reason because the prequels are now appreciated is because how much it expanded the lore, the new characters and concepts and the amazing lightsaber fights while having awful direction and writing. The sequels have better writing and direction but they lack a premise and introduce only one really interesting character (Kylo, but Rey is interesting in RotSW too) while giving us a much worst ending than the one in RotJ

Im sorry to say this, but I'll take Midiclorins and racist alien stereotypes over the Sequel Trilogy anytime of the week, because at least George Lucas TRIED to be ambitious.

1-3 are not good but they aren't terrible and have some good art design. 7 is a fun adventure movie that's more than just a rehash of 4 8 is my favorite Star Wars movie. 9 is a satisfying conclusion, but it's screenplay is kind of a mess, still had a good time, but needed a few more drafts

Star Wars has always been fantasy though. Part of the reason the prequels were so reviled for a while was precisely because they tried to go more for sci-fi than fantasy, e.g. explaining the Force.

The Force Awakens is the only movie in the sequel trilogy that I thought was good, despite it being a copy/paste of Star Wars (I REFUSE to call it 'A New Hope'). Last Jedi I thought was ridiculous and The Rise of Skywalker O thought was an improvement but just ok.

Disney bought Star Wars for four billions. The investors want their money back plus more. So we have an espensive useless imitation of ep 6, a WTF Rian movie and a band-aid movie.

Unpopular opinion I enjoyed the newer movie. Please don’t kill me!

When a sci-fi franchise goes so bad you have to cross genres into fantasy to describe it.
