**So many have reached out and asked where they can donate for our sweet sons memorial fund, here is the link our loving family members set up for him: gofund.me/47689dc7 (The GoFundMe is longer active, but you can read a little bit more about our son at the link.) ___________________________________________ It is with sad and heavy heart that we found out our oldest son took his life last night. (Pictured on the left.) A little over 22 years ago he made me a first-time mom. I remember that day vividly, brand new without a clue of what to do. His father loved him so much, they were little buddies from the very start. He always had a very child-like demeanor and was so tender hearted. Everyone he came in contact with felt his empathy. For the last few years of his life especially, he fought an invisible mental illness known as schizophrenia. It was heart wrenching to see him suffer. This year after some very traumatic experiences, we saw him struggle to come to terms with what had happened to him. While we know he isn’t suffering any longer, we already miss him so much. We are so grateful for the extreme amounts of love and prayers and food that we’ve been surrounded with by our many dear friends and family. We thank you for being with us today to help make our burden a little lighter. We’re in shock and disbelief, but can also see that it was probably inevitable. We feel him so very close to us today, and know that he is finally at peace. Now is the time to celebrate his life and all of the many people that he touched. Any prayers, thoughts, and love at this time is so appreciated.
