With a heavy heart I'm writing here that Kira passed away. As some of you may know from her previous posts, she had been fighting an illness over the past year and a half. She wanted to keep the details private, but please know that your messages of love and encouragement always lifted her spirits. Thank you so much for caring about her and her artwork. She is blessed with the kindest fans.
Kira's imagination was endless, and she had an amazing ability to spread joy to those around her. She was dreaming up new characters and stories until the very end, and faced all her obstacles with exceptional courage and strength.
I know Kira would love to see drawings of her or her characters, a photo of something that reminds you of her, or a written message. Tag your post #forkirakira and/or @kirakiradoodles so we can all remember her together.
I am not sure what comes after this. Kira's shop will remain open for now, as long as supplies last.
