KiraKiraDoodles

With a heavy heart I'm writing here that Kira passed away. As some of you may know from her previous posts, she had been fighting an illness over the past year and a half. She wanted to keep the details private, but please know that your messages of love and encouragement always lifted her spirits. Thank you so much for caring about her and her artwork. She is blessed with the kindest fans.

Kira's imagination was endless, and she had an amazing ability to spread joy to those around her. She was dreaming up new characters and stories until the very end, and faced all her obstacles with exceptional courage and strength.

I know Kira would love to see drawings of her or her characters, a photo of something that reminds you of her, or a written message.
Tag your post #forkirakira and/or @kirakiradoodles so we can all remember her together.

I am not sure what comes after this.
Kira's shop will remain open for now, as long as supplies last.

Thank you so much for being here for her and supporting Kira through all these wonderful years.

I love you Kira.

I was never the sort for commenting on videos, which in times like these I sorely regret, but from this silent fan over the years: Thank you for everything, Kira. These videos were a sweet little spot of light amidst all the chaos of life over the past few years, and for that I'm forever grateful. Sometimes it's the small acts of kindness that have the power to reach so many people, and reading this comment section is proof enough of that. Her videos and doodles brought so many people together, made them smile, became a little community. I hope her legacy lives long with the minds of viewers.

I’m so sorry for your loss...Kira was such an amazing and kind person. I don’t remember how I found this channel, but I know without her channel and without interacting in comments (I remember interacting with her in comments while I was using my old YouTube account) I wouldn’t have returned to art or gone down the YouTube art rabbit hole. I’ve met another artist after gaining confidence to leave comments on YouTube videos through her comment sections. That person is now one of my best friends who I never would’ve connected with without Kira and her kindness and comment section interaction. I remember Kira being the first youtuber to heart one of my comments and reply to me. Those little things spiraled into a huge positive change in my life that never would’ve happened had I not found this channel. I wish I could thank her properly for being the catalyst in that positive change. Little things like a heart or reply can really change a lot. I bought my first markers because of Kira and I’m a painter now. And I wouldn’t be making art if I never became a fan of Kira. Thank you Kira. I wish you didn’t have to leave so soon. I wish things could’ve been different...
