congrats on that Peter. I remember my MA defense as being something of a nerve wracking thing. There is nothing I wish more in life than that I could have a better facility with languages so I could have got into a PhD program. But having the people most involved in my development of my thesis, the Department Chair (whom I always had a contentious-productive relationship with) and a few well educated of my community grill me on my subject for an hour after my 30 minute presentation was probably the biggest validation that I actually knew my subject and how to do History well I ever had. I hope it goes well.

Professor Politics
Hey all! There's going to be a new video out in the next few days about Mail-In/Absentee voting but, before then: Exciting news! I'll be defending my dissertation, looking at how video games can increase civic attitudes and increase political participation, on October 9th!!!
Technically, all of my institution's defenses are open to the public and, since this is taking place online, I was wondering if there'd be any interest in me doing a special "Peter becomes a Dr (but not that kind of Dr)" livestream?
