To me this is the difference from playing music, to playing songs.. I like things like this because you have to follow the harmony and feel of the music (having not heard this specific tune) not just intellectually know where you’re going. It gives room for expansion.. to me sounds less robotic- assssss long as there is a maintained relativity. Here you gotta be one with your music, one with the band 🧘🏾

I find them harder to learn 🤦🏿♂️than the thibk black gospel. Probably it my mentality that affects the way I learn this kind of songs, I just get the charts to the song and boom I am done, unlike the black church music where one has to listen to a section for crazy amount of ti
