Did you notice the subtle drops of the awesome "Magic of Friendship" motif in the MLP season premiere "The Beginning of the End?"
This motif was first introduced in the Season 3 episode "Magic Duel" in the track of the same name, and was used again that season for Discord's reformation in "Keep Calm and Flutter On." The cue was then used extensively to represent friendship and its magic throughout Season 4, and continued to make appearances in subsequent seasons.
Hearing it here again in this episode, given the context, is extremely fitting, and I'm glad William Anderson continues to reutilize these motifs in fitting ways.
You can hear it both in the "Distraction" part of "Greatest Fears / Distraction / Destruction," and at the beginning of "Escape! / Under Sombra's Spell."
