Rachel & Jun's Adventures!

Hey Fukuoka folks! Anyone living in or near Fukuoka, tomorrow (the 13th) our non-profit volunteer group Fukuoka for Sustainability is holding a clothes exchange in the morning where you can bring your old clothes and take any clothes other people have brought, all free! You do not have to bring any clothes yourself to attend. Our goal is to reduce fashion waste by helping old/unwanted clothing find new homes rather than go to waste! Any clothes left over we will be donating to local recycle shops/Fukuoka City 3R Recycle Station. COVID prevention measures are listed in the signup link below:

@AniGrannyOG

We do this is all the time in St. Louis, MO. People also bring toys and household items to exchange. Hopefully we'll be able to get back to doing them soon!!

I live about as far away from Fukuoka as it's possible to get and still remain on Earth, but I would absolutely attend if I could. This seems like a very worthwile effort!

@zagrych

my old town had this in the form of dropboxes you could put books or toys in; so people could share entertainment with those who needed it, adult or child. this kind of idea is always great, so glad to see you guys supporting it!

I wish we had events like this here at my place! Is there gonna be video where you guys tell something about how you organized this and how we could maybe organize something like this at our places?

@darkraven2116

Oh man I wish I had heard about this sooner! I have so many clothes I need to part with but I'm finding it really hard to find places in Kitakyushu that will take them or that won't just ship them off to be turned into rags.

I wish we could attend. Fukuoka is on our list of no-go places. We're in Sasebo, so it wouldn't have been that far of a commute.
