🤗🤗🤗 At college we had an outdoor studio next to the instructors house where under the trees music was being made as we used kick wheels to throw and make pots for the garden area where they were designing a patio area for meditation. It was heavenly as each wheel had its own “heartbeat” that filled the air and of course a few voices of anger that added to the beat as a pot destroyed lost its life. It was a magical place but little did I know that down the road more music was being created....something I’d never heard or knew the history of. The clicking of wood then the softness of a paddle along with the amazing sound of reeds as they beat fibers down and a soft but firm bang locking all in place. Like the potters wheel your back firm and your feet treading in time to your hands as the clay became a unique shape. I was taken in to the music that the weavers loom was making though the music was so much softer. And in the corner the sounds of a upright wheel clicking as yarn and thread magically spun from gentle hands. Years later I lucked out and acquired a 150 year old rug loom a spinning wheel and a unique herd of sheep to supply me with all the wool needed to create that music stuck in my mind years earlier. My old barn renovated had a potters wheel to complete all the sounds and at last all the beauty for myself and others too. The hardest part of all is the hours days and weeks it takes to thread each thread to form the pattern and an amazing work of art. This picture says it all and hopefully among the display there will be artists creating that magical sound and like a printer the cloth will WOW people as they see it come out......one row at a time. So many old hand machines still hidden away waiting to be found and amaze new owners with not only the cloth but the music it makes while creating. This display really captured my heart ❤️ and really needs a permanent place among the new creations YOU create that makes Magnolia that special place. Old and new and then the history and of course someone creating the music that makes the cloth a rug or even a pot. Sorry so long but I got so excited just seeing this and remembering. Now am hoping to take that trip and see your magic you create in person. Virus it’s time for you to end cus there’s more to life than fearing getting sick. 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
