Primitive Technology

Here is my interview in the courier mail that they asked me to share as a community post here on YouTube. There is a pay wall to read it though that I was un-aware of at the time. have a look if you're interested.

Still working on next project but am also observing a fire ban which is in place which is holding up said project. I'm making kiln made from bricks, for firing bricks so I can build larger structures. Thanks for you patience.

On May 28,2020 a Reddit post explaining where John has been was posted. It states that John is doing well and everything is fine. The post also states that John is currently taking a break from YouTube because he is working on a project for a cable network.[15] It is currently unknown when John will return to his YouTube channel.

I look forward to seeing your Kiln. Though, adobe bricks may not hold up long term or after multiple uses in a kiln. Cant wait to see it.

Dear Primitive Technology guy. This is definitely and without a doubt the very best channel with stuff like this! Always extremely interesting, very educational and very meditational/meditative simultaneously. Congrats for being able to do all this and high quality taping additionally. I simply love videos without speaking and/or distracting music. The sounds/noises of nature and from working are enough for me. Since I found your channel 2 years ago I'm nearly not able to watch other videos with similar content any more (I subscribed at once of course!). Besides: Nearly all of them are inspired by you, try to copy you in outrageous ways or are simply ridiculous respectively ridiculous attempts (and that's really a pity and a shame). Like all your viewers I would like to watch much more and much longer videos because they are so incredibly good. Nevertheless is every "short" vid worth waiting for (of course!). As mentioned before: I would love to watch longer videos. Maybe you should/could do not so much edited versions additionally!? That would be great for sure and would be very much appreciated also. Can hardly wait to see the next video. Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health.

Please come back. We need u. Last year my Gateway To Tech showed us your channel and some videos and ever since I have loved your projects. It means even more to me because that teacher died a month later because of a heart attack. We love your channel, please don't abandon it.

Just picked up your book yesterday and I'm loving it, so many fine details that make things so easy to understand. 10/10 already recommended it to a couple friends.

I am not sure if you will see this, but I just want to say that you inspired me to go outside and start making things off the land. I used to be really lazy and played video games all of the time and then I saw your video on the primitive rock sling. It really made me want to go out and try it. I wasn't able to make it at the time because I didn't know what plant I could use to make cord, but I did make a stone axe with a handle that wrapped around the axe head. Eventually I learned what plants I could use to make cordage, and eventually learned to make fire. I then made another stone axe with the handle you showed in your stone celt video. Then baskets, pottery, and many other tools. Basically what I am trying to say is that you have really changed my life. I started out as a lazy kid who could never get away from the TV to someone who can't stand to be looking at one for more than an hour or so. Thank you so much.

I really enjoy your content. I wish I had a bit of land to do some Bush craft and stuff like you do. So I do it vicariously through YouTube. Keep it up!

Starting to get really concerned after not seeing anything from you for 6 months! Hope all is well with you and that the fires didn't wipe out your property or your home. Even just a short video or post would be very reassuring. ♥♥♥

Absolutely love your channel. When I found your channel at the beginning of the year i had a marathon of your videos. I love my tech, but something can be said for getting away from it all and enjoying nature and building everything by hand. Keep up the awesome work :)
