Is $65 too much to charge for a flat twist hairstyle/ updo?

It depends on length of hair, type of twist/updo. Will you shampoo and condition. That's a good price if you're doing these. You can charge less if they have done all of these.

Depends on the intricacy of the style

Don’t sell yourself short! If they’re willing to pay, then it’s not expensive! They are paying you for your time, and products used, your talent and the experience! Lol!

Personally i would only pay that if I couldn't do it myself

I think it depends on how long it takes the stylist to do and how much work it will require the stylist to put in. Also products used has to be factored in.

It just depends. If you have to wash, detangle, condition, blowdry, or if the clients has super long hair etc then that would be a fair price. If its updo styling only then $35-50 is good depending on how long the hair is and how intricate the updo is🙂

Depending on how long and how thick your hair is. That price is reasonable for short hair. But long hair thick hair. Its more expensive 😩

I think it depends on whether or not you shampoo and condition the hair in addition to styling it.

Depends on the lentils of hair. I didn’t vote. But now that I think about it even if someone went into a shop to get starter twists on 2 inch hair, they’d probably charge 65. So no I don’t think it’s too much. I’ve paid 100++ for hair and styles.

I didn’t vote because it depends on several factors. $65 isn’t bad for a fairly intricate style (multi-directioned twists and flat twists pinned or curled) and including a wash and condition on medium to long, thick hair. Shorter hair could be the same or cheaper depending on if it makes the style easier or harder to do. If you are requiring them to wash and condition themselves, then I would say $45-$50, again depending on the style, length, and thickness. I would also consider charging a detangling fee for matted hair (I mean for hair that is truly matted—as in weeks old, never been detangled wash and gos. I would not charge extra for standard detangling or simply take downs.) This of course is just my opinion so charge what the people will pay.
