What is your favorite content to see on my Lets Play Videos?

Magic (Things like Thaumcraft, Astral Sorcery, etc)
Technology (Refined Storage, Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, etc)
Automation (Create, logistics, etc)
Adventure (Twilight Forest, Dungeons, etc)

Feel free to explain more in the comments on this post :).

@direwolf20

I decided to run this poll since I tend to get better feedback in comments from certain types of content, and less so from other, so I'm curious if my observations based on video comments aligns with what you all like seeing :).

I like all of your content dire, but the episodes I enjoy the most are the ones where you blend multiple mods together to make really creative ways to automate tasks

I really like to see the mods blended in unique ways. That tends to be more of your online stuff, but the specific vids are always very informative as well. I must admit though, I wouldn't know magic mods if it weren't for your spotlights. You have a gift for explanation.

So many YouTubers do adventure based mods. Plus you're really good with the automation/technology stuff. Tbh I only subbed like last week for your tutorials on Create, very well put together!

I personally enjoy when you automate systems and processes in interesting ways, such as using a magic and tech mod inconjunction to increase efficiency of resource production, or work towards a massive goal like an uber miner or endgame power gen.

Bees. The relatively early-game level of bees is always interesting to watch, with “relatively early-game level” meaning sometime soon after making a sorting system. I’ve watched your modded let’s plays since beta version when I was little, and I’ve always loved watching the bee breeding and setups!

@DEWSTREAM

I love seeing the automation because I feel like in a way it covers everything, now there may be some things that just can’t be automated, but I’d think there’d be a way to optimise every feature of the game and get it automated. That being said adventure is my least favourite. Love the videos, and love getting the notifications about every upload <3 big inspiration.

I always find the automation part facinating. It’s fun to see a system of interlocking devices come and work together

I'm actually just here to enjoy your voice, it's soothing, your lps or your mod spotlights, are both equally wonderful, it's a shame really that I don't have time to watch it as much as I used to when you first started your channel.

I don’t know if anyone else will agree but I wouldn’t mind seeing like a “vs type” video that compares all of the different ways to do things with the mods in the modpack. eg compare all of the different power systems with each other and do pros and cons of each one

We like everything that comes after "Hello everyone, this is Direwolf20...."

Honestly, I really like whatever makes you excited! Watching you dive in and get excited as things start to work is the best, and even watching you speedrun through the mods you know while explaining what you do or telling a story is good enough for me!

Really appreciate you making sure that you explain the mods as you go through. I haven't played modded since 1.8/1.9, and I haven't watched any modded stuff since then either, so its interesting to see how the new stuff works and also how the old stuff has changed

I really enjoyed watching your recent attempts at making things look nice. Making sure to balance things helps keep it interesting. Maybe trying to automate the magic mods using some new tech mod could be fun. Like can Create interact with Astral to make a super farm?

@drewburt

Also detailed automation content is really really good for those who aren't quite familiar with EVERY mod in the pack. I see you have worked towards this with the mod spotlight/showcase series. Where you go through all the little details you can do with a mod. This was a success in my opinion. I watched every create mod showcase to learn how to use it in my own modded world. However you could expand even more and show how multiple separate mods can work together and interact as well!

@Vidies

I really like your way of explaining the mods and how they work through your own use of them, it's quite instructional and allows for an easier start than with ingame books and online guides ! Even feel like it's better than full on video guides

I still think peak Minecraft is when the best inventory solution was painting items in RedPower tubes. it provided a powerful but challenging inventory control system that led to some pretty awesome contraptions. Similarly, logistics pipes is still my favorite inventory management mod, bridging the challenge of the Beta days and the power of modern mods. All this to say, I really enjoy watching you automate things to a silly degree. I still remember that Rube Goldberg machine you made in a void dimension with portals and stuff. Overkill? Yes. Not suitable for every episode? Yes. But man did that ever capture what made modded minecraft magical back then.

I love your content and nobody does technology and automation quite like you. You stick to it and actually build put proper production lines from start to finish and i absolutely love that. Ive been watching your content for years and years now but i have found myself dropping out of your series quite early lately and for me at least i think the reason is just because its been getting very repetitive. A lot of it is just your habits and what youve gotten comfortable with. But seeing an identical 9x9 with maybe a fancy brick pattern with your AE/RS system in the exact same location and your bed in the same place and your same resource/mining/starting cave has just made it feel like every season is exactly the same as the last. Like i genuinely have a hard time telling most series apart due to that. I feel like im watching the same 15 episodes at the beginning of every series. And i never get to make to to the juicy tech and automation that lies beyond. So if i had any advice, not that youve asked lol, but itd be to make the start of each series unique in some way whether its starting in a challenging biome or challenging yourself to an interesting build style or what have you. (Also, i noticed that you 9x9 is less technically important than it used to be with minecrafts updated lighting/mob spawning mechanics) Anyways, some food for thought

I love the mix of automating all the things, using multiple mods to automate the unautomatable finding loop holes in mods that can be filled by another
