Not true. Not True. Not True. This is why I’m so excited about our devotionals because we’re confronting lies head on-especially when it comes to sex and marriage.
Listen: not all men will cheat on you because you refuse to have sex with them.
If he does: congratulations: you saved yourself from wasted years and tears. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
👉🏾 Sex will not determine the level of love you experience in your relationship it will only add to it.
You want to build a foundation that outlasts sex (a few secs/mins of pleasure won’t build a lifetime of love)
A woman that waits values sex but she also values her standards.
When you have sex outside marriage you are in danger of toxic soul ties, settling and a lot of other barriers come into play.
No one can tell you to stop having sex: you have to get that revelation on your own through a personal relationship with God
But ultimately the decision is your own
Successful marriages are built on a foundation of commitment: sex does not create commitment it can only contribute to it
You won’t be having sex for 24 hours with your husband and when you do get married you’d have to become very intentional about it: ask any married couple you know. 😉
So its up to you to choose: Do you want to keep using sex as the measure of a man’s willingness to find you attractive? Do you want to use your body as some sort of indication of how much desire he has for you?
Because that can only take you so far but definitely not far enough
Or
Are you ready to learn to work with your sensuality in a healthier way?
There's nothing wrong with being attractive and being sexy but you don’t want that to be all you’re bringing to the table
In our Wife In Waiting Devotional we dive deeper into how this presumption about sex gets in the way of having a healthy relationship
