Andrew Lam

Hello dash cam users, I released a review of the Aukey DRA5 on my second channel: https://youtu.be/K7PTzKKV0U8

It's a $40 dash cam with amazing night video quality, two-year warranty, and heat resistance. I highlighted it in my police dash cam video as a great cheap pick if you need a 360° rotating camera. It's also a fantastic camera in general and will make it into my Top Dash Cam Pick list.

My second channel will allow me to be more consistent. I can release more reviews with the same level of testing and research but less of the polish and perfection that goes into the videos for the main channel.

For all of you who want to hear more of me, hopefully, this will fulfill your requests.

I have the Viofo A129 DUO Plus (eMMc) version and the long needed 70Mai Pro review on the horizon.

Enjoy!

Yo Andrew, I took some test footage of my 4-Channel set up and "mashed it together" on my cell phone, (I don't have a computer, or editing software). I apologize in advance for the severely lacking resolution, and overall picture quality. All the 2K@60fps footage was downscaled to 1080p@30fps. The last clip in the video is an interior shot showing all four cameras, (the rear can be seen in shadow). I'll leave a link to the clip in a separate comment in case it gets stuck in YouTube's spam folder. -Chuck

Yo Andrew, Nice to hear you got your hands on an A129 Plus Duo. But that thing is so 2020. Lol Have seen the new 2021 A139 3 Channel? Front is 2K@60fps, Rear is 1080p@30fps, and Interior IR is 1080p@30fps. This is getting interesting. -Chuck

Andrew is there a chance you could make some recommendation for Scooter dashcams? There will be new criteria such as rain weather sealing, and being powered by 5 volt USB connections, and increased need for vibration compensation and so on. I hope you can do some recommendations. Thank you!

I have seen that in your videos and in some of your text description you comment that the Aukey DRA5 has a capacitor, but in Amazon Aukey DRA5 review they say something different. "Q: i understand it has a capacitor inside. Possible to over charge that capacitor with a 5watt 5v solar panel? How long does capacitor last? A: Dear customer, DRA5 is without capacitor,it needs to be connected to the car power supply or power bank. By AUKEY-TMUS Customer Service Te… on December 14, 2020"
