The first part was a masterpiece. I think I watched it thirty times at least. Sometimes I even play it to listen while falling asleep. I'm just glad that you are ok, because I was worried that something happened to you. Thank you for your work.

Everyone wants a part 2. And the way you made part 1, I'll doubt anyone would complain even if exceeds an hour.

I showed the first segment to my nephew. He immediately gobbled up all the rest, and asks "is the second segment out yet?" Glad for the update.

I just came here to watch Midway Part 1 *again*, because it's so well done, and I am SUPER excited to see this news. Thanks Montemayor and keep up the great work, everyone obviously loves it.

I'm thrilled to hear your ok and nothing had happened to you. If part two is still in the works and is as good as all your previous efforts, I say take your time and produce the product you're proud to call your own. I'm both a history major and a US Navy Vet, Bravo Zulu on part one. I eagerly await your next relace. Take care my friend :)

Take as long as you need. Your videos on pearl harbor, coral sea, and midway are great for learning, and great for listening to while I'm at work.

You have made so few videos by Youtube standards but each and every one of them is absolutely riveting. I have watched them all multiple times, and yes, the "Battle of Midway" Part 1 is the jewel in your crown so far. Top it! You can do it. And, also, YES, like everyone else,we are freaking waiting for part 2 brother! Don't let us down! LMAO!

Nice work on publishing an update. The biggest problem in life is when people don't to communicate. Now everyone who was annoyed they hadn't seen part 2 is back to being chill

Mr. Mayor, you should get into contact with Indy Neidell at TimeGhost History. He and his small crew have been making a series covering the progress of WWII week-by-week, starting on September 1st 2018 (1939), 79 years to the day since it happened. On December 7th of this year, he's going to live stream the attack on Pearl Harbor minute-by-minute. You already basically did this with your Pearl Harbor video, so you're already an expert on the subject. TimeGhost has already been collaborating with Eastory with the show's maps, and it'd be awesome to see another one of the best history channels on youtube get in on this and share ideas! Good luck with Midway Part 2, and stay healthy!

Your videos are so good man, I love all of them. The midway one was the best video I've ever seen on Youtube, amazing to see it with fog of war present and honestly gives more respect to the Americans that they managed to lure their enemy. Thank you :)

Monte! You're alive! Edit: Why are you surprised about Part 1? We aren't. Your content, along with Dreyer1916, are the gold standard of battle documentaries.

It is great to hear that you are doing well and that you are safe during this pandemic. I am so glad to hear that pt. 2 is on the way and the fact that it longer than pt. 1 makes me even more excited. I have rewatched pt. 1 multiple times because of its outstanding quality so I am even more overjoyed to hear this good news. Stay safe, Mayor, and keep up your brilliant work.

Montemayor
Hello guys, so here’s an update.
Part 2 is still in the making. At moment it’s clocking in at 46 minutes. So, It’s actually longer than part 1. A breakdown of it goes as follows:
0:00-28:00 It starts off with the disaster at 1026 and Hiryu’s retaliatory strike. It carries on to the conclusion of the battle with some analysis. Then I go into some detail regarding the sinking of the Mikuma and the Yorktown. Then the final conclusion.
28:00-46:00 I give a recap of the Morning events but this time from the American POV. This is to illustrate (clearly, I hope), how the Americans were able to get the drop on the Japanese and win the battle.
At the moment, I am about 85% done with the animations. Then I have to record, edit, and add the music. And I’m trying something new this time, I want to add some artwork to the video.
So once that is all done, I’ll publish the video. Sorry for the long wait guys! the success of part 1 was completely unexpected for me. If I had known, I probably wouldn’t have posted Part 1 without having completed part 2 as well.
Thanks for patience and Happy Easter!
