Hey Joey, I appreciate what you described as a challenging chapter in life. I too am going through a difficult time myself so I certainly understand what you are going through. I was wanting to address the issue of my Shimano ST-EF50-8R brake / gear shifter assembly which has not been working properly for a few years now but knew how difficult a job it would probably be trying to fix this problem myself because of the intricacies of these small assemblies. Literally I was able to dis-assemble this component clean it and with your attention to detail verify the problem as you intuitively diagnosed the grease problem with an anvil lever that I cleaned with WD-40 like you suggested and with your very detailed video was able to re-assemble the unit and after doing so was even able to to make the adjustments to the linkage and now all 24 gears function as if brand new again. I love this relatively cheap Mongoose mountain bike that I purchased about 15 years ago and cannot thank you enough for helping me get it back to prestine working order again and it didn't cost me anything but a few hours of my time and because of your video I was able to confidently make all of this happen. I would like to send you a picture of this bike but I'm an old school guy and these things are difficult for me as well but just know that it would not have been possible without your assistance and that's a big for sure. Hope things get better for you and again thank you. Very grateful: James Hatch (The Villages Florida) old folks playground :)
