I found your channel a few days ago when I got a wild hair to look up canning. My Granny used to can, but she passed before I was old enough to know I wanted to learn, or appreciate her abilities. I've really enjoyed watching the handful of videos I've had time to watch, and I'm very much looking forward to learning more and getting started. This just popped in my feed. I've been feeling super nostalgic lately so i imagine how these portals into your past must feel. I've only been doing my tiny channel for 2 years, after leaving law enforcement. I hope all is well. I just drove frpm Az to Obx on 40, probably right past your spread. Went home through NOLA for a beignet and a bourbon. 5,200 miles. Got hit in Dallas, big shocker. It was great to have time to just drive and think. Stay well!

Hi guys, just watched "The Dirt" which I enjoy. Sometimes it seems your getting picked on (like other homestead families). I like all the information you give and watching what works and what doesn't. Your children are adorable, smart and creative. Big hugs. I imagine being exposed to the public is vulnerable. Anyone watching needs to remember your a human family not robots. How does the old saying go..."If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all". Best of luck in all your endeavors.

Just as I thought..... rich people giving up all that glitters and is gold to live like semi homeless people on a piece of land on the side of a mountain. What does rich even mean a bunch of zeros in a computer at Wells Fargo, if you live the way you want with little effort, and spend most of your energy on what you want to, then you are richer than uncle scrooge. If you spend all your time chasing money not ever satisfied then you are the worse off than a peasant.
