I know that this question was asked months ago, but I thought I'd share an issue I'm dealing with. I suppose it is more artistic in nature, but I'm struggling with creating calligraphic layouts for pieces meant for framing. Do you have any tips or resources you'd be willing to share? I've done quite a bit of research, and I have no problem doing compositions for drawings and paintings, but my calligraphy compositions never seem to come out, well, as aesthetically attractive as I intend. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for all you do for calligraphy and artistic discipline in general.

I’ve switched from a nikko G to a Hunt 22B. Thank you for the advice...it does hold a lot more ink. My problem is that the right nib time consistently get caught on curved upstrokes. Frankie (Lotusandletters on IG)

It's been about six months since I got my speed ball starter kit. After three months all of my sample ink is unusable, it will go on the nib but when you try to write nothing happens. I switched to Dr. PH. Martins for their color choices, ( I write a lot of Postcards world wide). I have noticed I have to dip much more often with this brand, some are iridescent so you have to get the color to mix before use. Is this a ink, storage, or nib problem? My set up is simple very simple like a tin for the nib ( which I learned today is not good), ink is still in their bottle, some are getting pretty low and hard to dip into. P.S. I like working with a very fine tip, I like my HUNT #102.
