It's less of the lumpsum, more of the All Access. 25$/month Series S + Game Pass 35$/month Series X + Game Pass You can buy the console full 1 time Price for 299$ or you can get Xbox All Access (this is what they are properly launching now as well) where you'll get console and game pass through financing. TLDR : A second option through financing is being introduced. Same for Xbox Series X. 499$ upfront or 35$/month 2 Year License. Consoles are becoming a subscription service like mobile devices.

Xbox Series S has been officially revealed. Smallest Xbox ever. Appears to come with a built-in LOUDSPEAKER (I truly hope so). Price: $299 (ERP)
