Listen to a slowed down version of it. It changes due to the speed of the video. It's the same as the white/gold blue/black dress. People just hear it differently. Apparently if you have sharper hearing you'll hear one over the other. Idk which one though. The original audio is a guy saying Laurel with a tone over it to make it sound odd. So if you can hear the two noises together it sounded like Yanny. Kinda like if two instruments are so well in tune it sounds like there is a second tone, but there isn't one.

it's actually Laurel, higher pitch is Yanny but the creator says it's Laurel

the recording is an overlay of both names said at the same time but because "Yanny" and "Laurel" fall into the same vocal range and pattern when spoken aloud you might only hear one or the other

I can switch between them at will but the first time I heard it I heard Laurel.

I chose Laurel because I hear it more dominantly but I honestly can hear both

I hear both randomly, apparently it depends on your surroundings I heard Yanny in my QUIET living room and then later that day heard Laurel at school in a LOUD classroom So ig if the room is loud/quiet you can hear different stuff

Sources say Laurel is the correct answer. I heard Yanny at the first time. After hearing it for the 4th time. I heard a Low pitched Laurel. Wao

I heard Laurel... I’m genuinely curious what you think because this is still trippy even though I know how it works...
