When Sarri used him in no 9 position all thought he will play as false 9....but I think actually sarri fooled everybody(including pep😂) by playing him as proper stricker......masterstroke from sarri

Hazard was asked to play as a false 9 but Chelsea didn't get enough time( low possession) to play in their plan so obviously Hazard had to play as a proper 9 to engage the city's defenders. If they had good possession, hazard could have played as a false 9

The pass from jorginho to hazard in the 1st half that he couldn't bring under control and had to chest it, was the first chance for Chelsea to catch city on the break. Immediately after hazard touched the ball, he gave that "look" to jorginho like 'wtf bro, pass it to my feet'. It was golden

In FM terms, I equate Hazard's role yesterday with a DLF on attack. Chelsea went quite direct to him and he was supposed to play with his back to goal, hold up the ball and then dribble to either link play or draw a foul. His superb technique made up for his modest size and inexperience in the role and position. I thought he did extremely well vs the PL's current top side. I thought Pedro had a great game too; so willing and quick to harry City's players in the middle third as they sought to transition into attack. And he was lively in Chelsea's attacking play too.

All this year,I learned a lot from you.. thanks for everything.. because of that,I dumb lot of football game before it finishes because I know what results it will be,and thanks again, your analysis made me think further about football game,not just kicking a ball. may I suggest,can u avoid reading and watching dot simulation at the same time,it's hard to process sometime 😅..maybe reading first and then show the graphics after..and the background ground music, don't change that 😉..and that's all.. anyway, thanks again and keep up on the excellent work

But his teamates always under hit with the passes as tho hes a false 9. Hazards fustrated af. Many occasions kante or willian should play a through ball as hazards already running pass either centre backs

so about Hazard's position. I did mention at the start of the video that Hazard was used as a 'false 9' but he didn't play as a false 9 yesterday. Hazard was used as a proper no.9 yesterday. And he did everything that you expect a striker to do, from his hold-up to link-up to fighting for the aerial battles.
