I tried looking at the specifications are for getting a video age restricted, and there could be a couple of reasons... 1) While the original music isn't age restricted, because you don't have connections to a studio the music is now deemed inappropriate. This is similar to why mainstream songs with swears and mentions of sexual situations aren't age restricted, but music made by indie artists without a studio often get the restriction despite having the same amount as mainstream. 2) The "Harry Potter" portion of the animatic was censored, but YouTube felt it wasn't censored enough. This also could apply to the word "whore", since it is also not censored in anyway. Even though it is sang in the song. 3) The Reviewers are being dicks. The guidelines also state that if Reviewers find content "inappropriate" enough, they can slap an age gate on it if they want to. You then get a similar situation as scenario 1. Bo isn't getting age restricted because of the studio behind him, but you are because you're independent and don't have as much leverage. SUGGESTION: please please PLEASE Reupload !!!!!!!! It sucks that the video was age restricted, and I hate the way YouTube fails to communicate, but REUPLOAD!! Maybe further pixelating/blurring the Harry Potter part more, and the word Whore in the phone scene--- We want to see more of your art!! Please don't get discouraged, and even if you don't Reupload (because it is a ton of work) I really hope to see you with another video!!

Good thing I lied about my age when creating an account- 👀 It still sucks that they put an age restriction on the video in the first place. This just all goes back to the fact that kids should be using YouTube kids, and YouTube needs stop trying to demonize creators/age restrict their videos and not let them be promoted by the algorithm, all just because it needs to be a safer place for those under 18 who were browsing YouTube. If YouTube is a site for creators to post all sorts of videos, then parents don’t need to be letting their younger kids on here in the first place. It’s like letting your kid have full access to Netflix, they will watch things that they aren’t supposed to watch unless you put them in the Kids+ mode. Hopefully this all gets fixed and the algorithm picks your video back up and removes the age restriction

The live leak logo probably had something to do with it. Videos that feature that commonly get demonetized

alright so some unfortunate news.
some of you may have noticed that my WTTI animatic got age restricted. i looked over the youtube community guidelines and it very clearly does not violate any of them despite having a couple of like PG-13 (at most) visual gags. the original WTTI music video on bo's channel isn't age restricted, so it can't be the song that's getting it flagged. anyway, i applied for an appeal and it got rejected this morning. so yeah i guess it's age restricted forever :) i honestly don't know what to do. looking at my analytics, the age restriction completely screwed over my video's outreach and growth, and now there's nothing else i can do to reverse it. i don't really know anything else i can try because i don't have ties with any creators who can help me (which is usually the only thing u can do in this situation). so yeah. sorry for the inconvenience to anyone here under the age of 18. apparently, my video is simply too mature for you to watch.
