That is wonderful for you and Dennis. My jewelry making or should I say beads and tool collecting started about eight years ago. I’ve always been creative I made my mother teach me to sew when I was 10 years old, I was a pageant queen in high school, then junior college than three years in Palm Beach. Back to Jackson Michigan to get my bachelor of science degree from MSU, I worked for Penske racing and got married and then. Began a family. In 1991 I opened a catering business and gourmet deli and pizza restaurant. I was 31 when I had my first son Patrick and my experiences in Palm Beach inspired me to be a great cook. I owned a gourmet restaurant while I was giving birth and raising my boys. I know what it’s like to have a small business. After that I studied interior design and decorative finishing from the Faux Effects school in Vero beach Florida. They are the cream d’ Cream. So after about eight years of hauling around ladders and paint cans and climbing three-story scaffolding and painting ceilings. My body gave me a very strong signal that this is not going to work anymore. in between those years and then in 2010 my aunt who was divorced and had lost her only son asked me if I would care for her through her Alzheimer’s disease journey. I should have said no, but hindsight is 2020. I don’t regret it I regret what I learned about my siblings. I am so appreciative of all of the kind people who share their expertise with me on this unexpected journey. Thank you to both of you. If I get in your area I’ll let you know. It would be wonderful to meet you both. Then I could tell you the rest of my story. And how I started to collect beads and attempt at jewelry making.
