Wish I wasn't on Long Term Disability right now. I'd go see it in a heartbeat. I've never seen a working steam engine in person, let alone one with as much history as the Big Boy.

My dad worked for the Corps of engineers on the Missouri River in Washington. You were just up the street from where there office was when you got this shot. I spent many a day as a little boy right there.

I just learned this train has 6000 horsepower. amazing. I seen a video of big boy when the train was parallel to the road and a guy was filming it at top speed of 50 mph, and the engineers were just sitting there looking ahead out the window and you could see the wind pushing out their hair, what little they had and the strap on the guys glasses were flapping and they were just relaxed sitting there resting on their arms, it was as if the train was drving itself.
