I'm happy for you and your channel. You can certainly enable cards and overlays too. Thanks for your amazing content and when monetassaition helps you and your content then it's a good thing.

I would enable the cards as well. The midroll is something I'd avoid. Unless perfectly timed in a super thrilling video, that would be the time people stop watching I guess. I'm no YouTuber tho (and I pay away my youtube ads with YT premium).

Refreshing to see direct interaction with the audience, but It does look bare so I wouldn’t mind it if you added a category

Those seem reasonable but I think overlay + cards could be enabled too.

All completely reasonable. I'm commenting and liking this post to help you in the YT algorithm. The rest of you should also comment it helps.

Shorts can make tons of money and generate more subs and views if they go viral. The Spiffing Britt made a video all about how broken youtube treats shorts. On purpose.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the last poll about ads & monetization. I went with these settings, which are fairly minimal I think, and I turned off monetization on any of the short videos (less than 1 minute). I don't imagine this will generate much, but whatever it does generate, even if it is fractions of pennies, will go toward the work & research presented in the videos. I'm obviously new to this, so if you think I made poor choices, I'm all ears. Thanks!
