Dr. Todd Grande

I have had a number a requests to discuss the paraphilic disorders and how they can be differentiated from paraphilias. I produced a video on that topic and it will be released on Friday at 3:00 PM EST. As always, I hope you find it interesting and thank you for your support!

@BeingLifted

I just watched a very disturbing video. This guy did a 30-minute alone challenge in a haunted location. Whether you believe in ghosts or not doesn't really matter to this post. (Anyway, to me, the question is not do you believe but have you experienced the absolutely unexplainable.) Back on point, this guy was experiencing true, real life terror, was attacked and, worst of all, while running away bleeding (though not severely) felt the need to apologize to his viewers for leaving. I went to film school and love when a Director and a great production staff are able to invoke emotions, including fear. But when it's real world terror, far beyond fear, and viewers are actually enjoying it, what does it say about them? Especially any viewers who actually thought his apology was necessary? I don't want to fault the guy himself because he's uploaded 8 videos since May 16, when his channel was created, and has been rapidly and amazingly successful. He was introduced by a friend who's successful in that genre, people like this new guy and it's working for him. He's got some disability, too, so the $ may be enticing. But viewers who love it and ask him to take his pain/terror to other specific locations? What's their excuse? It's hard for me to believe they're mentally/emotionally healthy. Ted Bundy enjoyed invoking real life terror. School shooters do Home Invaders do. Creeps in general. We can say that those viewers enjoy the adrenaline rush but when it's real life terror they're watching, is it healthy? Do you think it's because more people are desensitized in this digital age, or is it because of the increase in psychopaths, or some combination of those? And/or something else?

Hi Dr.Grande, I'm a s.a. servivor. Recently I came forward on one of my abusers, my family has turned on me (as the accused is a family member) maybe we can discuss how to survive this also, how i can still be a functional mother to my children (one is special needs) and still be a wife to my husband. Intimacy is an issue (for me not him) . Thanks in advance.

@FindingoutWhoIam

Can you please talk about what causes extreme anger at ones self and those who experience self harm ( head banging ) as an adult. Ive personally experienced this in my early 20s and through out. Ive been diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and some other serious mental illness.. I dont suffer any personality disorders.. so im wondering what else can cause it..

So I can understand my mother in law... Can you talk about borderline personally and single mothers? How they effect their children? Romanticizing motherhood?

What have you found regarding pedophilia? I'm a victim of childhood sexual abuse and I would love answers as to my attacker's motivation. My abuser was a close female relative. She was never held accountable. These dunces around here avoid the topic like the plague. There is so much stigma attached to being a victim! And I swear to god I'm gonna lose my cool on the next person who brings up the notion that I'm somehow more likely to be an abuser because I was abused. I find that to be pseudoscientific and absolute quackery.

Looking forward sir!! Maybe a video about pedophilia might be a topic to also talk about once?

Hello Dr. Todd. I like all your videos since they're very informative... I have been diagnosed with avoidant personality disorder and paranoia and Masochism. But they have not told me whether it's sexual Masochism or self defeating personality disorder. I think it's mostly self defeating personality disorder but I may be wrong. Also I don't know if I have paranoid personality. The problem is that I was sexually abused as a child and didn't hate it. Also my emotions are all over the place. I would be grateful if you could make a video on Masochism and self defeating personality disorder. Thanks

@rachelo4138

Hi Dr. Grande, do you have any videos on child sex abuse and treatments if children have thoughts of acting out by either perpetrating sexual abuse or thoughts of physical harm to smaller children. This is in the case that they haven't done anything yet. Just thoughts. Are there any treatments that address prevention? And what is the most effective treatment currently for PTSD from childhood sexual abuse? CBT, TF CBT, EMDR, DBT, a combo of the above, or something else? Thanks in advance.

Can u do a case study on me? I’ve been to many doctors Over the years and none of them have accurately assesss me in my opinion. I’ve grown a lot and gained insight And I’m not so much looking as for a treatment plan for myself to understand where I fall And I think that it would make for a good content for you as well. I think this is something you might be interested in I could be wrong pls reach out
