Winnie the Pooh once asked Piglet, “What day is it?” “Today” Piglet replied “Ah, my favorite day” said Pooh. This is the right attitude.

Used to be we lived life, not just got through it. Sad times indeed.

I very much used to think so (pre AW). These days I see the challenge as learning to breathe, when there is seemingly no hope, no sunshine, our head is under water (or up my own arse 😜), and not seperating the good times (holiday/vaca) from the bad (work, daily life, office parties). Otherwise going back to work & daily life seems like hell. Trying my best to embrace each moment, be they happy, or tragic. Didn't say I''ve mastered this, but it has replaced longing for vacation, or the perfect view, or an easy day

How about just making a better life for yourself so you don’t have to “look forward” to anything to feel good.

Going on holiday isn't travel. Genuine travel broadens the mind: holidaying is what you do when your head is empty.

Disagree... the trick to getting through life is treating everyday like a holiday, and every meal a feast.
