This is real life. 19 tracks. Five years since my last body of work. I promise not to take so long with projects again.

The 80s is one of my favourite decades, and Ray and the team managed to source a gorgeous cream white racing car made in like ‘84. But the owners cancelled just as we were on our way to the location. The Stylist, the directors, the producer, six hours drive away from London, are already in the valleys of the Lake District. And we have no car.

So Ray calls around a bunch of his friends, and his boy came through, on a full tank of petrol, and blessed us with a 2000s black convertible BMW with a cream interior.

Still in my feelings, I walked through the fields to chill, and I thought about every song on this album. Where I made it, what part of my life I’m talking about, and all the other challenges that we faced and overcame to get to this point.

I came back, gave Ray a fist bump, and the rest is what you see above.

The world will find a way to screw you 10 times. You win if you bounce back 11.
